On February 22, 2023, The Diabetes Centre (TDC) Islamabad organized a free medical camp for screening diabetes and its related complications. This camp was held at Kohinoor Textile Mills Limited (KTML) Rawalpindi.
The aim was to inform the Kohinoor Mills staff about the increased risks of diabetes. Further, the mutual understanding between the two organizations that had taken place recently led to the activity. General Manager of KTML Jawad Shaukat made up the inauguration.
A large number of staff participated in the camp and got free check-ups. Insulin and glucose were also distributed free to some people. Doctors and support staff from TDC remained busy with camp activities during the whole day. Dr. Farah Faizan Farooqui and Dr. Adil educated the people about the causes of diabetes. They informed them too how to avoid these complications.
General Manager Jahanzaib Baloch appreciated the camp activities organized by TDC here. He also assured KTML’s support for diabetes’ prevention. The camp team thanked them for their support.
